The EVOKE FOUNDATION seeks a film Interns to who will receive training and guidance working closely with the directors and clearance supervisor, the intern will gain hands-on experience navigating real world applications of professional methodologies and best practices, connecting theoretical classroom instruction to practical experience.
In addition the intern will demonstrate core competency deliverables aligned with the learning outcomes of his or her internship course curriculum and/or requirements for graduate-level portfolios. By observing the workflow and procedures of a prestigious the intern will also learn how experiences at EVOKE can be applied to other professional environments, and how to communicate, negotiate and adapt projects to meet the goals and expectations of various stakeholders.
You will have the ability to receive college credit and onscreen film credit.
This is not a full time position, but will require a regular time commitment of at least 8-10 hours per week. Content delivery on regular deadlines will be expected. Due to the current situation all work is done remotely/from home, although there are opportunities once this current situation is over for those in Los Angeles to work from our office if desire.
Performing extensive research using the internet and a range of stock footage and news archives.
Reviewing the script and log lines, books, articles and other underlying source materials in support of staff’s preparation of initial script reports, character charts, and other pertinent documents.
Researching various key elements to the story, finding the relative archive footage and when possible the character for a follow up interview in Rwanda.
Researching and obtaining acceptable alternative clearances for production when first choice is not possible.
Researching and obtaining pertinent copyright and contact information from potential licensors in pursuit of permissions.
Tracking various outstanding clearances, coordinating executed licenses while informing staff of potential production time constraints.
Supporting the Department: scheduling, and other administrative duties, and performing other related duties as requested.
NO Previous production and/or studio experience is required but very helpful.
PC Skills required, including proficiency in Word, Excel, internet and various research database, and the ability to find and utilize all resources available in research process.
Must have good communication skills with knowledge of English language usage, as well as the ability to organize and handle multiple tasks, be detail oriented, follow through, schedule work effectively, and coordinate assignment requests from multiple analysts.
Must be able to work well under time constraints in a fast pace environment and must be able to work in your our time effectively.
Must have professional demeanor and possess the ability to maintain confidentiality.
